Under UAE Labour Law Article 51, you receive 21 days' basic pay per year for the first 5 years, and 30 days' basic pay per year for each subsequent year.
How is End of Service Gratuity calculated in the UAE?
Under Article 51 of the UAE Labour Law, employees who complete at least one continuous year of service receive 21 days' basic wage per year for the first 5 years, and 30 days' basic wage for each subsequent year.
Does gratuity include housing or transportation allowances in UAE?
No. Statutory gratuity in the UAE is calculated strictly on the employee's basic wage only, excluding housing, transport, utility, and other allowances.
What is the maximum gratuity cap in the UAE?
Under Article 51(3), the total end of service gratuity cannot exceed two years' gross basic salary (24 times monthly basic wage).
