Questions

How do I calculate fuel cost for a car trip in Germany?

Multiply distance in km by (L/100km ÷ 100) to find total litres needed, then multiply litres by the fuel price per litre.

What is the statutory commuter allowance (Pendlerpauschale) in Germany?

German tax law allows commuters to deduct €0.30 per kilometre of one-way commute distance for the first 20 km, and €0.38 per km starting from the 21st kilometre.
