What is the NES redundancy pay scale?
Entitlements range from 4 weeks pay for 1–2 years of service up to 16 weeks for 9–10 years. For 10+ years of service, the statutory scale sets 12 weeks of severance pay.
How much redundancy pay is tax-free in Australia?
Under ATO rules, genuine redundancy payments are tax-free up to a base limit of $12,524 plus $6,264 for each completed year of continuous service.
