About this tool
Job portals, exam forms and government websites often reject photos over 100 or 200 KB. Lower the quality and the maximum width until the file is under the limit. Quality 60 at 1200 px wide is a good starting point.
How to use it
- 1 Choose an image.
- 2 Set the quality and, if you like, a maximum width.
- 3 Select Optimize and download the smaller file.
Questions
How do I get an image under 100 KB?
Choose JPG, set the quality to around 50–60 and a maximum width of 800–1000 px. Most photos then come out well under 100 KB.
What quality setting should I use?
Around 70–80 keeps photos looking the same to most people while cutting file size a lot.
Will converting to WebP make it smaller?
Usually yes. WebP is often 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same visual quality.
Do you store what I enter?
No. Your input is processed to give you the result and isn’t saved.
Is this tool free?
Yes. It’s free to use with no sign-up and no limits for normal use.
