About this tool
Large photos are the most common reason a page loads slowly. This preset resizes images to 1600 pixels wide, enough for a full-width hero on most screens, and saves them as WebP at quality 75.
How to use it
- 1 Choose an image.
- 2 Set the quality and, if you like, a maximum width.
- 3 Select Optimize and download the smaller file.

What quality setting should I use?
Around 70–80 keeps photos looking the same to most people while cutting file size a lot.
Will converting to WebP make it smaller?
Usually yes. WebP is often 25–35% smaller than JPG at the same visual quality.
