About this tool
Most phone photos store the GPS position where they were taken, along with the date and the camera. Upload a photo to read it, or to check what you’d reveal by sharing the original file.
How to use it
- 1 Choose the photo.
- 2 Select Read and copy or download the result.
Questions
Why is there no location?
Location is only saved when the camera’s location setting was on, and most social media and messaging apps remove it when you send a photo.
Should I remove EXIF before sharing?
If the photo was taken at home, yes: the GPS position can reveal where you live. Most social networks strip it automatically, but emailed originals keep it.
Do you store what I enter?
No. Your input is processed to give you the result and isn’t saved.
Is this tool free?
Yes. It’s free to use with no sign-up and no limits for normal use.
