About this tool
A 301 tells browsers and search engines that a page has moved for good, so they should use the new address from now on. Search engines pass the old page’s ranking to the new one. Use 302 for temporary moves.
How to use it
- 1 Type a code, such as 404, or a word, such as redirect.
- 2 Read what it means and when it’s used.
